The Chamber of Deputies declared "En la Cima," the interview series from Los Andes, of interest.

Today, Friday, October 3rd, at noon, in the Ground Floor Hall of the Margarita Malharro de Torres Building, in the Mendoza Legislature, the ceremony was held in which the Honorable Chamber of Deputies declared the "En la Cima" series of interest , a Los Andes production that, since its premiere, has established itself as a space for in-depth interviews with leaders in culture, innovation, sports, science, and public and private management.
The award—sponsored by Chamber President Andrés Lombardi and Provincial Representative Beatriz Martínez—highlighted the series' contribution to Mendoza culture and its impact on the region and the country.
“It's a great joy to be gathered here for such an important event. I'm so grateful to Laura and the entire team who worked on this program. The idea of declaring En la Cima a program of interest came about because I've been following this program for a long time and deeply value its contribution,” said Representative Beatriz Martínez during the ceremony.
He then added: “Behind the professionalism of En la Cima, you can see the passion. It's very valuable for Mendoza society to get to know the person behind a public role. In a time of so much conflict, the program manages to generate empathy and show us all that we have in common, beyond partisan or religious differences.” He concluded: “We unanimously agreed in the Chamber of Deputies on the importance of recognizing En la Cima. This program brings people together and brings them together, and that is very valuable for Mendoza society.”

For her part, host Laura Rez Masud expressed her gratitude for the recognition and emphasized the spirit of the series: “Receiving this recognition from the Chamber of Deputies filled us with pride and is a tremendous honor, because it means the hard work we put in is appreciated. En la Cima was born in Los Andes with the idea of breaking new ground and investing in an audiovisual format that would allow us to show Mendoza's key figures from a more human perspective. The audience's support, with thousands of views and the possibility of embarking on a second season, confirms that this journey was worth it.”

The series' producer, Matías Valencia, provided his behind-the-scenes perspective. “When I was approached about this project, it seemed like a fascinating challenge: to show the person behind the character, beyond what we usually see in the media. At first, we had to explain a lot to the guests about what it was all about, but now the opposite is true: they call us because they want to be on En la Cima. That reflects the impact and interest it generates. Our goal is always to achieve that perfect interview, the one that uncovers someone who doesn't normally speak. This recognition encourages us to continue on this path and also to thank our families, who support us in this intense and exciting work,” the producer said emotionally.
The editorial view of Los AndesThe closing remarks were led by Los Andes' editorial secretary, Rubén Valle, who put the recognition's significance into context. "On behalf of Diario Los Andes, I would like to thank En la Cima for this recognition, a space we incorporated at the beginning of this year to expand the communication ecosystem of a media outlet that will soon celebrate its 142nd anniversary. We have added an audiovisual format to our online and print platforms, convinced that we must expand our channels of contact with the people of Mendoza and connect with an increasingly complex and demanding audience. Drawing on her experience and warmth, Laura Rez Masud leads a team that manages to find a story or an authentic connection in each interviewee. In times of anxiety and hate speech, En la Cima's mission is to return to dialogue, to face-to-face conversation, to the here and now," Valle stated.
The event concluded with applause and the presentation of the award to the Los Andes team, in a celebratory atmosphere that reinforced the commitment to continue producing a series that is already part of the public conversation in Mendoza.
